PC with all pictures - is not working

Hoping all my gorgeous pictures are not lost.
Feeling very depressed.
(On laptop but pictures not on it)\

    Update - PC gone to computer hospital with kind expert. He has reported that pictures and music were retrievable and safe. Stay tuned may yet be a while before PC is discharged from hospital (illness still needs treatment) BUT heavy sigh of relief for not losing pictures!
